What is the BIIAB Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders? Under the Licensing Act 2003, anyone authorising the retail sale of alcohol will have to hold a personal licence. In order to qualify for a personal licence an applicant must hold a licensing qualification which is: - Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) accredited and Government approved. BIIAB's new qualification the BIIAB Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders, is both QCF accredited and Government approved, and has been specifically designed to meet the statutory requirements of the Licensing Act 2003

We provide APLH (NCPLH) personal licence training courses with a 99% pass rate for candidates.

What do you need to provide?

  • 2 x passport size photographs (one of which should be endorsed as a true likeness).  Our professionally qualified tutor can do this for you if you take it along to the course
  • A copy of either your passport, driving licence or birth certificate (the latter to be accompanied by your NI number)
  • A copy of a utility bill, bank/credit card statement or official letter (no older than 3 months) which confirms your name and current address

Once you have attended and passed the APLH course exam we will apply for your CRB check immediately and once in receipt will apply to your local council on your behalf for your Personal Licence

The whole process should take between 3-4 weeks depending on the speed of the council
