A Scottish Certificate for Personal Licence Holders

The Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005 states that anyone who authorises the sale of alcohol to the public must hold a personal licence. If you wish to obtain a personal licence you need to apply to your local licensing board. You will be asked for a number of things to support your application; these include proof that you hold a licensing qualification such as the SCPLH.

Door Supervisors & Security Training Course

To work as a Door Supervisor or Security Guard in the UK you will need to have a licence issued by the Security Industry Authority (SIA).
One of the requirements of the licence is that you hold a recognised qualification, and the Level 2 National Certificate for Door Supervisors meets this requirement.
The course is run over four days and has 28 hours of tuition and 2 hours of exams. The exams consist of two 40-question multiple choice papers with pass marks of 28 for Unit 1, and 24 for Unit 2.
