Cask Marque Cellar & Bar Management Course

Getting things right in the cellar provides the foundation to the perfect pint.

By the end of the course, learners will:

• Understand the business benefits of serving good quality beer
• Know the factors which cause beer wastage
• Know the properties of keg, cask and packaged beer
• Understand the principles of hygiene, temperature & stock control in the cellar
• Know how to look after cask ale from delivery to serve
• Understand how to maintain keg dispense systems
• Be able to clean cask and keg beer lines correctly
• Understand glass washing processes and glassware troubleshooting
• Understand dispense techniques for different beer formats

Learners are assessed with a 30-question multiple choice test. The pass mark is 23 out of 30 and delegates receive a Cask Marque Certificate of Achievement on passing the course.

This course is designed for individuals responsible for the handling and service of draught beer.
