Candidates holding a Scottish Personal Licence are required to take this qualification every 5 years in order to ‘top up’ their licensing knowledge. A copy of the certificate they obtain must be submitted to the Licensing Board who issued their licence within 3 months of the anniversary of issue.
Failure to do so in time will result in the licence being revoked which prevents a new licence being obtained for a least 5 years
(The first licences were issued from around February 2009 to be valid from September 2009 so training must be completed by the first recipients no later than 31st August 2014 with proof submitted to the Board by 31st December 2014 at the latest.
